LTO registration for electric motorcycles

Electric motorcycles used on public roads are not automatically exempt from registration. The exact LTO category determines the registration and driver requirements.

VinFast Evo, Feliz II and Viper

LTO issued model-classification circulars for the one-battery and two-battery versions of these motorcycles. They are L3 motorcycles without sidecars and are accepted for motorcycle registration.

Check that the exact model and battery configuration on the motorcycle match its sales and registration documents.

What buyers should request

  • Written sales invoice with the exact model and battery configuration
  • Certificate of stock reported and model-classification documents
  • Registration processing details and applicable MVUC
  • Battery ownership or subscription agreement
  • Written warranty terms for the vehicle and battery
